JOB TITLE: INTERN
JOB SUMMARY:
The TMH Intern will actively participate in a diverse range of functions within our clinic, gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to the inner workings of a behavioral health practice. This internship opportunity is designed to provide a practical complement to the intern's academic training and offers a dynamic learning experience that spans therapy, administrative functions, and various other aspects of clinic operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Clinical Support:
- Assist licensed clinicians in therapy sessions with clients, providing support and observing therapeutic techniques.
- Engage in client assessments, case notes documentation, and progress tracking under the supervision of licensed staff.
- Attend and contribute to clinical team meetings and case discussions.
Administrative Functions:
- Assist with appointment scheduling, reminder calls, and managing client records in compliance with confidentiality regulations.
- Participate in the billing and insurance verification processes.
- Help maintain an organized and efficient office environment.
Client Engagement:
- Welcome and assist clients during their visits, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
- Address client inquiries and provide information on clinic services and resources.
Observation and Learning:
- Gain exposure to various therapeutic modalities and approaches used within the clinic.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars as offered by the clinic to enhance knowledge and skills.
Research and Project Assistance:
- Assist in research projects related to behavioral health, data collection, and analysis as required.
- Contribute to the development of educational materials or clinic improvement initiatives.
Professional Development:
- Receive regular supervision and mentoring from licensed clinicians and senior staff.
- Reflect on experiences, engage in self-assessment, and actively seek opportunities for growth and learning.

- Ethical and maintains strict confidentiality regarding client information.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Enrolled in a master's degree program in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.
